Application Process

Applications for the Terry Farrell Firefighters Fund Scholarship must be received by July 31st of each year. Any application received after 5:00 PM on July 31st of any given year cannot be considered for that year's award.

The award will be made on the first Sunday of each August for a minimum of $1,000.00. More than one scholarship award may be given depending on available funds and applications received. Scholarships shall be granted on a lottery basis.

The scholarship is a single award. An award winner must submit a new application each year to be considered for the award. No more than four (4) awards will be granted to any one student applicant. The award will be made by check payable to the student or legal guardian of the student.

The award may be used for any purpose related to the student's education.  The Scholarship award can only be used for the education of children attending Parochial or Vocational Schools. The School must be accredited by the State of New York and the Education is open to all school levels from entrance through College.

In the case of Vocational School applications, the student may be required to submit proof that such school meets the fund's criteria.
